MIGHTY MARINER CONTROL SYSTEM
Kobelts Mighty Mariner is an electronic propulsion control system. It is consisting of electronic control heads, an actuator and microprocessor unit. This system is capable of controlling single engine and twin engine vessels installations, from 1 up to 4 control stations.
This system is a cost-effective and easy to configure control system.
With an electronic-mechanical system the 6527 actuator is the heart of the Mighty Mariner electronic control system. The actuator monitors all input information from the control heads and their associated switch panels. Also its lever position and the synchronizer inputs. This actuator also controls and positions its throttle and its clutch levers. It communicates with the control stations through panel lights and sonalerts. The purpose of an actuator is to operate the clutches and throttles as they all require mechanical positioning.
With an all electronic system the 6503 electronic interface monitors all input information from the control heads and their associated switch panels. Also its clutch and throttle positions and the synchronizer inputs. The 6503 also controls and positions its electronic throttle and its electric clutch. It communicates with the control stations through panel lights and sonalerts. The purpose of the 6503 is to operate the clutch solenoid via dry contacts and the electronic throttle via 4 – 20mA, 0 – 5VDC or PWM signal.
Normally this system will be installed with a 6501 illuminated electronic control head or 6505 electronic control head. Other control heads options are in consulation.
PRODUCT SELECTION
To determine the right system for your vessel we need to know type of engine(s) and gearbox(es) and if they are electronic or mechanical. Also the number of engines/gearboxes and how many stations you would like to have.
For all electronic systems DCS is able to install this system with a back-up panel with a throttle and gearbox signal alarm for the gearbox. Installed with a foil panel in the wheelhouse for ease use.
