7050 Steering Cylinder

The 7050 steering cylinder is a durable, solid cylinder that offers strength and flexibility in sizing and rudder movement for marine vessels, available in balanced and unbalanced versions.

For balanced, the 7050 has the following torque, stroke and displacement ranges, assuming a single cylinder at 1,000 PSI (69 bar) at a 35 degree rudder angle / 45 degree rudder angle.

Torque:
 1,205 to 1,948 lbs. ft. (167 to 267 kg/m)  /  893 to 1,351 lbs. ft. (116 to 187 kg/m)
Stroke: 7.5″ to 12″ (191 mm to 305 mm)
Displacement: 20.3 in3 to 32.4 in3 (333 cm3 to 531 cm3)

For unbalanced, the 7050 has the following torque, stroke and displacement ranges, assuming two cylinders at 1,000 PSI (69 bar) at a 35 degree rudder angle / 45 degree rudder angle.

Torque:
 2,608 to 4,171 lbs. ft. (361 to 578 kg/m)  /  1,825 to 2,923 lbs. ft. (252 to 405 kg/m)
Stroke: 7.5″ to 12″ (191 mm to 305 mm)
Displacement: 43.8 in3 to 70.1 in3 (718 cm3 to 1,149 cm3)

Kobelt requires a steering gear torque or rudder calculation be done before sizing or ordering any steering system, to ensure the correct mix of pressure, displacement, stroke, parts and torque.

A repair kit is available.
