7093 Steering Cylinder

The 7093 steering cylinder is a durable, solid cylinder that offers strength and flexibility in sizing and rudder movement for marine vessels, available in balanced and unbalanced versions.

For balanced, the 7093 has the following torque, stroke and displacement ranges, assuming a single cylinder at 1,000 PSI (69 bar) at a 35 degree rudder angle / 45 degree rudder angle.

Torque:
 7,256 to 14,512 lbs. ft. (1,004 to 2,008 kg/m)  /  5,081 to 10,161 lbs. ft. (703 to 1,406 kg/m)
Stroke: 12″ to 24″ (305 mm to 610 mm)
Displacement: 122 in3 to 244 in(1,999 cm3 to 3,998 cm3)

For unbalanced, the 7093 has the following torque, stroke and displacement ranges, assuming two cylinders at 1,000 PSI (69 bar) at a 35 degree rudder angle / 45 degree rudder angle.

Torque:
 16,229 to 32,458 lbs. ft. (2,246 to 4,492 kg/m)  /  11,364 to 22,727 lbs. ft. (1,573 to 3,145 kg/m)
Stroke: 12″ to 24″ (305 mm to 610 mm)
Displacement: 272 in3 to 546 in3 (4,457 cm3 to 8,947 cm3)

Kobelt requires a steering gear torque or rudder calculation be done before sizing or ordering any steering system, to ensure the correct mix of pressure, displacement, stroke, parts and torque.
